GREAT job on that trailer. I was wondering when somebody would build a grain trailer out of one of those kits... I totally agree with you Mart! Truck watching these days STINKS compared to how it was back in the 70's, and 80's. Heck, there are only about three or four brands LEFT out there! Back in the day you had White, Brockway, Diamond T, Diamond Reo, Marmon, GMC, Ford, Chevy, etc, etc, etc... Today, all we've got are these droop-nosed aero wonders, with interiors that look like a cross between a modern pickup and a motor home! When I was a kid, I could spend hours beside the interstate, watching the trucks roll by. These days I don't even look twice... Sad...

Thanks, boys, for the kindly comments! It wasn't easy, to built it, because the measures on the Timpte homepage wasn't really correct (40 ft. trailer / 42 ft. trailer) or I did a mistake when counting foot and inches to millimeters (1 inch = 25,4 mm). 42 ft. in scale 1:24 are 54 centimeters. (Why, americans don't count in Millimeters ) I also needed to make a compromise of the distance between the ground and the fifth wheel, because the Italeri frame of the semi tractor is a little bit lower, than the measure on the Timpte homepage showed. The hight of the side panels are made by "a sure eye" - a little bit higher than a flat roofed sleeper cab. I took the continous tub version, because it is stronger than two single tubs and gives more stability. Tarp was made from a litter bag. Martin
