This model is based off the original ertl released 4300, this is the third make over for this model as it was originally built to mimic the box art over 30 years ago. I was inspired by the "Bill Signs" Peterbilt for this build, but adding the pusher axle and wet line kit to coincide with the jeep and custom 4 axle lowboy to be built for this tractor. The original intent was to install a KT Cummins but I already have a twin turbo NTC 475 Cummins so I will spend the money (buy/ship for the KT) on building the jeep and lowboy. The original cab and hood suffered from fatigue due to being stripped three times, so I will be bashing a new 4300 kit to complete this one. The rear suspension is a 72 inch beam style with full articulation , with the front suspension being beefed to the 18,000lb level with oversized tires coming from Italeri trailers (super single) in 1/24 scale. Originally I was going to go with minimal chrome, but adding in a scratch built Texas Bumper changed that early in the build. Much more to come. Cheers all, JIMMY

Hello all from snowy Ontario Canada, thought I would add a little update, just finished patching the cab, then giving it and the hood some fresh black paint. Just received some factory IH decals from Jerry at model trucking. She is coming along, slow but sure. JIMMY
