here is an in progress build. an original issue kit that I saved for many years. I collected parts for it a long time and just after I started it the reissues came out. Doh! someday i'll finish it. after painting the cab I broke the drivers side vent window frame and the project stalled. the plan was to build a truck that might pull doubles up the mass pike into New York. that's where the buzzin dozen came in.

I like the color scheme and the Green Leaker is an excellent change of pace.Like all the little chassis details you added. Paul

Pretty good looking. Did you lower the headlight buckets?

thanks guys !
jim, I did the headlite mod on this one by cutting out the headlight buckets and moving them down. it was a lot of work but I have found an easier way. will explain in a future post.

Man, I am LOVING these builds! I'm sensing a growing trend here: guys are starting to take those troublesome Freighliner kits and backdating them. By doing so, they go from being troublesome to TERRIFIC! I'm still collecting parts 'n pieces for mine. I've managed to score one of those awesome photo etch kits, and also had a full set of 18 real aluminum 5-hole Budd wheels custom machined for me. I'm working on a few other real metal items as well. 'Wish I was more astute with the computer, so I could start posting pics. Maybe I'll have the better half walk me through the process. If you guys hear some yelling in the distance, you'll know that process is underway!😳😳

I also scored one of those etch kits for a future project.
as soon as the sd kit is reissued will buy four of them, I have some ideas in mind !
