This is just my idea on your problem . On the hood parts cut the pins off and drill a small hole thou them , drill the same size hole thou the bumper parts then glue the parts to the bumper and hood . when its dry use a piece of rod to go thou all parts. I would use 40 thou brass rod. Just my idea. As for the grille use a slow setting glue and put it in after the hood is on that way you can line it up easy.

The grill does indeed attach to the radiator. As for the hinges for the hood they are tricky. They attach to the fenders instead of the grill frame. Then the other hinge parts attach to the bumper. For all the ones I built I had to leave the bumper and hood off the truck. Then had to add a spacer between the bumper and the frame rails for the assembly to fit properly and work.

I was able to use the stock hinges, but I assembled things backwards. I realized if I installed the cab first nothing would line up, so I started with the hood. I then trimmed the front and rear cab mounts to shorten them a little, but the back of hood and cab match perfectly. Since mine did not have a sleeper, I didn't have to worry about that.
With reguards to the grill, I just glued it to the hood. It was too big if a pain in the a** to get it to line up in the grill. The depth was not correct. What you might try, since no one would see this behind the grill, is put a ball of clay between it and the radiator. It would allow some adjust ment, then you could glue it.

I am to the point with this thing where it might turn into a wreck to hang off the back of one of my Pete wreckers. I am spending way too much time trying to get this truck done so I can start on my Astro. I am getting more and more frustrated with each passing day with this thing. I have also tried spacing the bumper in order to get the hood hinges and so forth to line up. I haven't even tried attaching the cab yet simply because I know the trouble I'm having with the hood will only get worse if I glue the cab down first. Once I get the hood attached in the right position then I'll worry about the cab and sleeper....

Hey Brian, when all else fails and you get too irritated with it, do what I did on my 2 Bison General kits--glue the dad-blame thing shut.

I ain't ruled that option out yet either, but I hate to cover up the engine and so forth, not that it looked that great anyways....shoot, maybe I'll just stick to building cabovers...

the sad thing is I just got 2 Bisons from Jim. maybe I'll get it right on these and post some close up pics for you. ;D ;D btw--some cabovers are just as bad (the Pete isn't too fun) i would just set it on the back burner for a while and come back to it.
also my grills are glued to the hood not the radiator--very little surface to glue, almost an air fit.
