Cummins beige!!!!!!!!!!!!!! again! First, I apologize to any others that may think reading this was a waste of their time but I need to say something. I'm sitting here and tried real hard to not make this reply but my nature just will not let me. A reply of "Cummins beige" would have sufficed. I really do not appreciate the exclamation points and the "again" comment. I may have completely forgotten to do a search but that doesn't change anything. Show a little respect for other people, please.

I'll probably just mix some colors I have and get what I think is close. I just wanted to know the basic color, I'm not looking to be exact original, just didn't want to make it some color that was off the wall compaired to the original. For my Peterbilt engines I use Tamiya Sand spray and thought that turned out nicely but I'm out of that now.

I've been using Krylon tan. May not be accurate, but it works for me. ;D

Let's just leave this subject and forget about it. No hard feelings on my part. Merry Christmas to all.

Hi all For my Cummins beige, I use Krylon # 2504 Khaki Gloss ( Beige ) . Might not be exact but it is the closest I have found. Found it at Wal-Mart for around $4.00 a 12 oz can, can paint a lot of engines with 1 rattle can. Also makes a nice interior tan in some trucks. Kinda of a 2 for 1 buy. Jeff

The "again" was a reference to the amount of times the question has been posted. Sorry if anyone took it as a personal attack. As for not wanting to spend the money on the correct color, Duplicolor engine paint sells for less than $5.00 a can and will do more than 20 engines. Maybe it's just me, but why go through all the time and effort to come close when it's so easy to get the correct color?

The Duplicolor engine paints are great. I like their Detroit Diesel Green as well, looks accurate. Model Master has a color called Sand that is fairly close to Cummins beige, in case your auto parts store doesn't carry the Diesel engine colors. If you happen to be near a Cummins dealerships, they sell Cummins spray paints in all colors.
