:-/I know it can be done, as I have seen a modeler do it. Everything I come up with is too large of a hinge. Any, and I mean ANY help would be appreciated. As you can see, I'm making a Hot Shot tractor. It will pull a dropdeck. These are for small, lightweight loads that are bulky from my understanding. I have lots of details to it, but I really want to hinge the doors. It was started 13 yrs ago and shelved for this reason. Wish me luck, and thanks for looking.

I've heard that one b4. I may go with it, because it's hard to make these hinges without them being big and clunky.

The hinges on the Ford L series were clunky on the 1:1 trucks. Amt did a good job in representing them when the molded that kit. I have an old Louisville that has been long retired in the fleet at work. I can get a few good pictures Monday and post them for you if you like.

I appreciate the suggestions everyone. As to the offer for the pix, thank you. I would like to see them if you can. I never got to really study these trucks up close, and I was afraid of making the hinges unrealistically large. Thank you Oliver, for taking the time to post the tutorial that you posted.

If you got a Revell pete kit around look at reproducing those hinges using plastruct or evergreen.

Everone has been very helpful with good suggestions. Thank you all. I haven't had a chance to try them yet, but I have a good list to go on. If it were just regular piano hinges like a pete or kw, I probably wouldn't have such a hard time. Thanks again to all.

I will be doing the dollhouse hinge idea after seeing the work on Dieseldoc's Ford LTL 9000 service truck, which has hinged doors. Thanks to all for your help and suggestions.
