Hi, I've tried STS and even Mr Griffen himself{though he says he'll get back to me} does anyone out there make the L1000 dodge cabover body...daycab prefered, but I can deal with the mid sleeper too. I found the 900/1000 conventional cab @ AIT{nice} but no bighorns{Illini died off I guess} nor L1000s. Nobody likes Mopar semis? Help...

As to date There has been NO L1000 cabs produced in 1/25 - 1/24 scale. I wish someone would pop one out but so far?

it was rumored a few years back but nothing ever came of the rumor. I'm trying to remember who was rumored to be working on a casting but it doesn't come to me right off...Who was the resin caster that made the beautiful pieces and then packed up shop? I can't remember his name, was it Cliff Floyd?

Bob griffen "did" make the cabs...STSmodeltrucks "did" sell them{up untill a month ago} and when I wanted to order one, STS pulled it from inventory.{murphy's law!} Mr griffen returned my email saying he'd get back to me when he had the supplies to make/cast the L1000{STS didn't get that mold of his}, but that was 3 weeks ago...I can wait. He does the sleeper version..."midsize" I believe.{I'd like daycab....love daycab coe's} I have seen the "Illini replica" bighorn cabs, but I can't find Illini thru google...MTF Aco has disapeared as well as AIM/RNR...can't find any of them. STS and AIT are the only games in town for resin cabs...and monkeyclaw if they get the site running{empty...I'd like to see what they do/did}.

Illini has been out of business for aa couple few years now. AIM has also hit the critical list but for RNR I think they may still be around somewhere. I don't have a link for them. After doing some older looking I was wrong and there was a L1000 resin done. Sorry for the wrong info. I just never saw one.

Tbuskirk, that's easy to understand as few folks look for the old dodges...most people like the mainstream trucks of the day{though dodge was too...sorta}. I've seen daycabs and mid sleepers in resin and found the daycabs are just cut down sleeper cabs, so really only one was made...it's sad to see that one can't get the bighorn anymore either. I'm waiting to see what happens with "monkeyclaw.com" seeing as they should have some interesting stuff once they're up and running again.

Has anyone heard when "monkeyclaw" is going to back up and running? I thought it was soon, but I could be mistaken...

Someone named Brad Lawson bought a bunch of Matt's molds for his truck stuff. He told me that he sells castings on ebay a lot. Matt said due to aging, casting is getting harder. I hope he comes back.

I Spoke with Matt (Monkey Claw) about two weeks ago and he said he was switching to computer generated masters and should be producing again in the late fall or winter. Brad Lawson bought his old molds and is doing good work. I just purchased two KW day cabs from him. You can rech him at brlawson@mrtc.com. Brad said he should have his new web site up by September 18th and will be expanding his resin line.

Can we get a link to Mr. lawson's website/page? I can watch that one at the same time as Monkeyclaw's site...
