Just received today my order from American Industrial Truck Models and i must say the parts are very well moulded with very little flash & crisp detail, virtually no air bubbles. I will be ordering more from Dave on the strength of the quality of these items & can recommend him to anyone. CK-49 Mack DM600 Steel Hood (i will be using a re-issue kit as a donor) FT 1 & FT 2 Fuel Tanks 10 wheel set 12x24 resin tires with 6 spoke wheels I have included in the 2nd picture two AMT/Ertl tyres for comparison so you can see how large these wheels are! The Goodyear 11.00 x 20 is on the left & the 10.00 x 20 on the right. These are going to go on a Model King DM800 Heavy Hauler i have planned.

Looks like a quality kit. This should fill alot of gaps in the heavy hauling section of our hobby. Thanks for sharing the pics of this kit so we know what's included and the quality of the kit.

That will be a great looking model. I love the casting on the kit. You can tell a person who loves his work and respects his customers with the product he turns out. I purchased a mack 61 from a web vendor which is close to what Dave has, but Dave will include much, much more towards the end result in parts for only $5. 00 more. Now that is AWESOME. I should have waited and purchased from him. But I did not know of him, till I touched on this site. It is because of this site that I have found so much more for the hobby. So hats off to the TRUCKSTOP...... Can not wait to see this one finished.

Hi 'Mullet', you certainly get around on the forums eh, and Trademe, found those parts for the Black Thunder sleeper you bought from me as well, they were not clear at all! let me know if you want them. I purchased a couple of Mack bumpers (item no.FB 12) from AITM and actually found them both to be very thin on the ends and both were broken! Unlucky... maybe.

I've just dealt with Dave a few times with some ebay stuff (old MTFA castings) and he's be geat to deal with. I'll be ordering from him in the near future from his website for the "good" stuff.

I can't say enough about Dave at AITM. As a first time truck modeler, he provided me with a lot of information and answered any questions that I had. I bought several pieces from him and everything was top of the line.

Ordered a wheel/tire set today. Can't wait to actually see then in other than a picture. They look to be quite large (which is great).

DAVE RULES!!!!!! I dropped my order in the mailbox last Friday and exactly 7 days later, my items arrived!!!! Now that's how professionals do business in my opinion!!!!! Dave, if you read this, thanks. The resin is well casted and clean, and the metal parts I ordered look good, too.

Just so you can see more of the good quality of Dave's work, here is one I purchased recently, the Mack F model cab from AITM. It's item #CK-30, which is the F model sleeper with the late(1972-up) interior. The kit includes the cab, interior, bumper, steps, bulldogs, Mack decals, air cleaner, single exhaust stack, cab mounts, exhaust stack mount, clearance lights, mirror heads, a clear plastic sheet and a template to make the winshield, and various other small items. The casting is nicely done, and near kit thickness. The interior seems to fit a little loose in the cab, but that's no big deal. If you wish to detail it with door panels, I would imagine they could be cut from the interior bucket of the R model kit. Overall I think this is a nice kit, and should build into a nice F700. The mirror supports, as well as one or two other parts will have to be fabricated(shape shown in instructions), but that should be simple considering the skill level I've seen in this forum from everyone. Here's the cab: These are the various metal parts in the kit, along with the interior parts. The decals are the Mack emblems. The bulldogs on the side of the cab are decals also. For those, if the size is right, I would use the ones found in the AMT Mack kits. ...and the stacks, seats, and windshield template: Very few if any flaws with this kit. From the built-ups I've seen, it builds into a nice model. It's worth buying, and Dave's worth buying it from, in my opinion.

He has a lot of kits I like. They all seem to make a good starting point for a really detailed model depending on how far someone wants to go. I had some of the old MTFA resin, and you can see a big improvement in the castings now. After hearing everyone talk about Dave's castings, and seeing some of the builds, I sold my old ones. Considering what I've gotten from him so far, I think it was worth it.
