While browsing through this month's issue of Model Cars Magazine, I see where Lindberg is going to release a few variants of the Dodge L700 kit as well as a Pete 359. Besides the L700 coming with the 40 Ford and flatbed, you will also be able to snag one with a box trailer, tanker trailer, the tractor by itself and also with another flatbed with a load of crushed and derelict cars. Personally, I would like to snag a few with the crushed car load for my collection. Not sure if the Pete is a new tooling or a re-issue or spin off of another manufacturer's work, but at least it's another big rig. Also encouraging to see the Mack Cruiseliner being reissued by Stevens as has been mentioned elsewhere on the forums. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but there seems to be quite a few more big rigs and commercial projects being released this year compared to prior years in recent memory. Maybe someone IS listening to us after all. I'll know they are if we see the International Pay Star Logger and International Trans Star Cabover kits reissued! Let's keep our fingers crossed people. There was a lot of specualtion that the molds for the trucks like the Cruiseliner were destroyed or beyond worth, but I think we may have been mistaken as is evidenced by the upcoming releases. Now we just need to be sure we support the efforts of Lindberg and Stevens and BUY THESE KITS!!!!!

When is Lindberg doing these?I would also like the crushed car load.I hope the Pete is 1/25.I see lots of trailers with crushed cars going to the shredder in my area, would make an interesting load for sure.

I'm sure Italeri will match their 1:1 replica fiasco like they did with their "accurate" Peterbilt LA County Fire Dept. tow truck disguised as Western Star Constellation. Who knows, maybe we'll see Italeri release a "Movin On" Kenworth disguised as a Ford Aeromax.

The Lindberg Peterbilt is the old Testors mold and it will be 1/20 scale. Only if someone would do a trailer in 1/20 scale.

Italeri is now tied in with MRC model co. if MRC's track record holds up see all Italeri prices go up 15 to 25% and a more limited selection. The only plus is they (MRC) sometimes reissues thle "money maker"kits... Pete378?! Pau

Now is MRC part owner of Italeri or just licensed to distribute the kits in the U.S.? I know Testors was distributor for a long while for Italeri.

I hope that all these possible new releases are not too overly priced. With the cost of oil so high it drives the price of many things, especially the plastic industries. The models will hit the shelves overly priced by the manufactor and then move slowly. Then they will say "we tried" and nobodies buying so why make more. BOY, I hope I am wrong though. Just my 2 cents. We were shopping at Target yesterday and as I read in a forum somewhere, Target now has some Revell snap kits on the shelves. Hopefully they move well ($11 ea) and they stock more!! I was hoping for another cool truck on a Freightliner frame but with no nametags like the Superliner. LOL. I know, that's bad. Thanks for sharing about the Trailmobile Doubles. I thought between 2000 and 2003 AMT was doing good about rereleasing kits, but as usual, by the time some of us find out, they're already out of production. Ray's luck I guess.

any new release or re-release is welcome, for newer modellers or a budget modeller a re-release regrdless of the subject makes it more obtainable for them without having to pay some of the ridiculous prices we all see them go for on ebay at times, i welcome the stevens releases with open arms the biggest problem with these is that there is not a distrubutor here and the only way to buy them is from spaulding or other online u.s shops(or ebay) which sometimes when postage to here is accounted (yes some charge up to $50 a kit)for makes them quite an expensive kit,yet on the other hand i can walk into any of my local hobby or toy shops and they nearly have at least one each of all the current italeri and revell truck and car kits in stock at all times, the payhaulers when amt released these they had them in stock almost immediately following their release it would be nice if the stevens releases were as easily obtainable locally as the others,

"Besides the L700 coming with the 40 Ford and flatbed"
Seen one of these tonight in the hobbyshop. Run you about $60.00 CDN.
Fellow at shop said nice kit, as he is currently building one to haul a hotrod.
