Hello from Texas! Man I am glad I came across this group! I have been a big fan of Tim's trucks for awhile and his site was my only"fix" for ideas and concepts. But now I feel that I have a band of brothers who share my passion for model truck building. ...Feels good to be home!! I checked this site out from top to bottom last nite waiting for my account to be approved and boy did I get some great ideas from you all. Thanks ! I will post some of my projects on here in the next day or so and as soon as my 45 day anniversary rolls around maybe we can do some trading of parts and pieces..I have a room full of kits and parts ! ..I am probably one of the largest model truck "recyclers" in Texas ..LOL!!! Thanks again guys and I cannot wait to participate in the builds and discussions and share ...and as with anything else...just ask !!

Hey Jimw! I rarely get the time to go to the shows...I was up in your neck of the woods a month or so ago...plano/hebron area..just for the weekend...I noticed on your website that you have styrene sheets ...do you know if the sheet mfgs make a fluted sheet? Something similar to the siding of a reefer trailer? I have been wanting to build a replica of my coach and I need the fluted sheet to skin the lower beltline...let me know ! Thanks !!

Thanks locoengr! Yes the guys on here build some great stuff..the craftsmanship is amazing. No, my coach is not a Marathon...they havent done a Eagle since 90, they are in bed with Prevost....too much glitz for me anyway. I dont need a laser light show on my ceiling.LOL!!It is a Calhoun that I updated.

That is still a sweet, seet ride! About a dozen people around Fargo have bought coaches and are fixing them up for their rides for football tailgating. There is even voting and tropies now for the best coach/bus/motorhome at the Bison games now. It's crazy the money and the people that are wanting to buy and build. Another guy here in town owns/leases these. One in his fleet he had leased to the Dixie Chicks. We got to use it one night for bar hopping. All we had to do was pay for the fuel. Talk about a nice way to travel. People were going nuts asking us "who's in the bus? who's the band?" One of the guys with us looked alot like Kid Rock, so.....!! A fun night was had by all. I've wished that someone would produce/sell these coaches and Featherlight race trailers in the 1/24 or 1/25 scale. That would push my wife "closer to the edge" with my collecting and 'investing!' Thanks alot! I have been itching to build a model of one of my coaches, but the lower fluted siding is something that I cannot find...I tried one time cutting up a reefer trailer for the lower below the beltline but it just did not look right....If I could come up with a replica and then sell them at the rallies..LOOK OUT !! ...Us Eagle nuts would kill to have a replica...any suggestions from out there would be greatly appreciated...

Maybe easier said than done but,....resin casters out there? Any chance or no molds available? I know less than didley when it comes to casting. That is why I ask these questions.
