Names Ray, police officer in Philly. Been building models since I was 12. Mostly Mopar muscle cars, then got into trucking working for Overnite during the 80's, so that got me into building big rigs, now i'm building both big rigs and police vehicles. This a fantastic site, lots of experience and knowledge here.

That Charger makes for a bad a$$ cop car. For expressway patrol, it's mopar for the course.

Mopar or Nocar ...Thats what I always say !! I love mopars...my favorite and the one I kick myself EVERY day for getting rid of was a 73 340 Twister...4speed wedge motor...yellow...man I loved that car..I sold it for 3500 and bought a 84 Laser XT Turbo 2.2 piece of excrement..but still love Mopars..my wife has a 300 and I have a Cummins Dually...still faithful

I wish we had the Chargers, they have 100 more horse than the Ford. I'll have this car until 2010. Maybe Chevy will have it's new Caprice by then.

When we first got the black and white "test car" we had heard we were getting Hemi' for the Interstates we patrol, and the V6 for city patrol. We ended up with the 06,07,08 Impalas with the 3.9V6. Ford is no longer our patrol car of choice. I just wish Chrysler would bring back the Gran Fury. Took turn and corners like a slot car, low and wide wheel base, that car could handle. I used to flip the air cleaner lid, and punch the gas just to hear the vacumn secondary's of the 4 bbl open,lol
