Seeing as how we have the oppertunity to share who we are...
My name is Phil Ciborowski. I am 27(28 July 9th for those who want to sent cards and gifts lol). I have a bfa in Graphic and Digital Design, and a masters in Art Education. Hopefully, and the plan still is, to get a PhD in Art History started before i hit 30, but who knows I am currently looking for a full time teaching position in art, but am also doing some substitute teaching and working as a Special Ed 1:1 aide.
I live on the east end of Long Island, New York, but also spend a lot of time in New Hampshire, on the lake (Winnipesaukee).
I have been modeling for as long as I can remember, well over 20 years. Although my early years were well assisted with help from my mom and dad.
My first real serious attempt at model, and one i had helped a great deal on was a 1/350 scale Titanic. This was built in 1986 when I was in first grade ( I have a picture someplace of me holding it in class, giving a presentation on it). Since then, i have taken over building and painting from my parents (mom would not only fund, but also help build when dad was out of town on busniess).
Since then I have built several HO Scale layouts, of transition era, north east railroads. I am also in the planning stage of my next layout, which will be a complete departure from what I have done, to the Bitterroot and Rocky Mountains in Montana and Idaho.
I also build a lot of NASCAR race cars, as well as other cars and ships. I try to get at least one model finished each week, or at least have one on the bench in progress... tho sometimes i have more that are in progress than i should
Below are just some of the models i have built... and as more get build, some actually come out of the case.
I found this site through a friend on the only other modeling message board i subscribe to - Randy Ayers' Nascar Modeling Forum- of which i have been a member for just around 10 years.
I can honestly say that in looking through all the builds and in progress pics, i am definately excited to complete my first build, and then have more rigs to add to my collection.
