I thought you might like these. It's the 1970s Kenworth paint book. So here is the KW paint book from the 1970s to start things off. These paint jobs were used on trucks for decades after, even today on new trucks that I have seen. Enjoy. Here is the Kenworth K100/K123: Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiThese are for the W900/W925: Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiAs I find more of these, I will post. Then again, if you have design patterns to share, feel free to add to the list. I would love to see how many of these we can get up here.

Ok. Here are some more. I have a bunch of General Motors schemes this time for you. From the 1970s, GMC Astro/Chevy Titan: ...and from the 1977 Astro brochure: 1980 Chevy Titan: 1980 GMC Astro: 1980 GMC General: In addition to these, here is a page that appears in both the 1978 and 1980 Mack F700 Interstater brochures: Hope you enjoyed them.

You're welcome. I figured it would save a lot of digging for people if I could set it up so these were in one spot to be downloaded.

This is from the 1982 Mack Cruiseliner brochure, although these patterns were used on earlier Cruiseliners. The square grille in the pix can be obtained from AITM under the name Mack Cruiseliner V8 Grille. For those of you who like "Design L" on this page, these can be obtained from JBOT. To see the stripes, click on the link: www.jbot.ca/cars/trucks/striping6.shtml

While cruising Tim Ahlborn's website, I noticed he took the time to add further to the reference material he already offers those who visit. If you are interested in paint schemes for the Peterbilt 352 cabover, click on the link below, then scroll to the very bottom of the page. There are 5 pages from the Peterbilt paintbook. All for the 352. Tim, thank you for all the reference photos you have provided on your website. They are a real help to those who visit. timstrucks.web.aplus.net/PBCOEolder.htm

I have here some line drawings for Kenworth K100s. There is a blank can, as well as the "Salem"(think BJ and the Bear) and "Lexington" paint schemes. The "Salem" stripes can be obtained through JBOT. Blank Salem Lexington

A quick note about the "Lexington" scheme for the K100. As far as the big stripes go, it is identical to the "Allegheny" paint scheme by KW. To go with the "Allegheny", you will have to add the small lightning stripes below the windsheild. Look closely at second pic in first post on this thread. You'll see what I mean.

Now these should be helpful. In the '80s, it seems that AMT/ERTL/Matchbox made their instruction sheets in a way that they fit nicely in a 3 ring binder. Each has a nice line drawing of the truck's right side on the cover. So I scanned and cropped these pix. They should be actual size(in comparison to the plastic cab/hood/sleeper) Just print, and draw your stripe patterns. As far as the stripes shown in the pix, they are the kit stripes for each kit . They could be edited out. Here is the KW W925 The Midnight Express Pete 359 The AMT GMC General

I’ve avoided painting schemes like these in the past because I’ve never been sure what goes where so to speak. After reading this thread I feel confident enough to have a go.
A great modelling resource, thank you. Dave.
