GMC Crackerbox Conversion at STS

A friend of mine sent me this link for a GMC Crackerbox conversion at Spaulding Trading & Shipping:

Does anyone know anything about this? The part number starts with "SS", so does that mean "SIlver State"? Is ths conversion any good? I've got an Astro in the stash that might serve as a doner kit.

Jim, I bought that cab a few years ago from S.T.S. and I'm building it as a carnival truck. The casting is pretty clean however theres not much detail. Detail could easily be added,I used the freight liner s/d as the Donner

Cool model. I remember another version of this same truck was used by S. Pruitt's rival, Moose, on the Movin' On T.V. series. It was a light blue dd version. It can be seen in this episode on U-Tube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQsOxb0Nxpg&feature=related

It doesn't mean Silver State. It's for Spaulding's products.

WOW!! Those are some nice looking Crackerboxes. I always liked seeing those trucks years ago when I was riding around with my Dad. I'm definitley going to have to pick me up one of those when the cash is right. Nice looking trucks you guys!!

I like the ones with the angle inwards on the cab rear where the storage doors are.
