Guys I did a search for the topic title and it returned this: No Results Found - We could not find any posts that matched your search. I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the Revell tires melting into one lump of rubber? I bought the Volvo F-12 Globetrotter as a bagged kit at a show a while back and while it was in storage the tires, which were bagged together, melted into an unusable blob. Anyone have suggestions on an aftermarket company that makes tires to fit the Revell Rims? Thanks, -Scott H.

I've used the 11x22 tires that came with the ertl kits on the revell rims before. They worked good for many applications.

Scott, I have never heard of them melting. I have had them spit over time on models that are displayed. Seeing as your in South Carolina is it possible the temp in the storage building got to warm but with that thought I would think you would mention that kit parts had warped also. .

Todd, Thanks for the tips on the tires. I'll have to try them before spending the cash on the resin ones I have found. Those things are expensive!
Mark, The kits were stored in a box on a shelf in my 2 car garage. Neither the body or any other parts are warped and it's the only one in the box that had anything happen to it at all. That's what is so surprising about the tires melting into a blob. I'm wondering if the chemicals in the tires reacted with each other and melted. In the bag of tires that melted, one or two actually survived unharmed. That's why I can't figure out what happened with it.
