I am working on a tank project, and I'm looking for some plastic tube. What I need is 3-3/4" outside diameter. Plastruct has this, but it's $15.55 for an 18" piece. I need 8-1/2". Ive checked Home Depot's plumbing section, but the PVC only comes in 3" or 4". What about electrical conduit? Does that come in 3-3/4"? If it does, maybe an electrical supply house might have some scraps they could sell. I've even thought about a 1 liter soda bottle, but I don't think that will be strong enough.

how about a 2 ltr pop bottle. Split it lenght wise and roll it to the desired size. Should strengthen itself too by rolling it into a tighter radius you are also doubling the thickness. Will this work or am I an idiot? (don't be scared to call me that, my mother did!)

Judging by the length, you're doing a straight truck?

I think you can do it Jim. Good luck to you. I've thought about that one myself, but I have some others to get through first.
