Hay all . A quick query. I just picked up a mack dm600 today ($150aussie) its got the amt/ertl logo at bottom of box with a model king logo at the top. Has model king taken over or gone in to partnership with amt/ertl? Allso missed out on gettin a single drive freightliner not shore who made that kit. pat

It is just a limited run reissued done for Model King, just like the Stevens/AMT/Ertl kits. I'm not sure who owns AMT/Ertl now. They have changed hands a few times in the past few years.

The White Freightliner single drive was a limited run special from Stevens International. They had a agreement with AMT to produce 5000 of the kits so they could sell. Thats the same with the Model King MACK's. Thats when Racing Champions (RCII) still had the molds. Now that Auto World aquired the molds they will now produce the AMT kits under the Round 2 name badge. They will still be AMT but produced by Auto World / Round 2.

Thanks for that guys. I guess it dont matter who owns what as long as we all get some of the old kits reissued to enjoy again. pat
