Hey all, this is a truck i built a fair while ago, back when i had no sense to keep it shelterd from house dust and spiders craping on it so a while ago i decided to strip it and rebuild it, which i only just recently put into action, so heres where im at..... Poor old girl needed a bit of tlc Bleeched the paint off I broke most of the axles off trying to get the wheels off so i scrounged up some new rears from a superliner kit and transplated the steer axle from the spare parts box, also changed the steering box over to the R/H side Amazing how neat undercoat makes things look Ive made some changes to the drive hubs. I started by sticking some Half Round 1.00mm evergreen strip onto the hub Then i drilled out the centres to 9.00mm Then from the wheels that came with the 5964 kit i drilled out the centres again and carefully trimed them up to resemble hub caps The one critical part of doing this is making sure the rims are aligned when you glue them up( because the drilled out chrome rim does not sit snug on the hub) Wola! We'll squint and call it an N14 Auslowe RH dash and 2 spoke steering wheel Im sure im not the only one thats not felt right just leaving these decals to sit in a dark packed away box, oh and the colour is Tamiya TS-18 metallic red(spray can), with several coats of clear And thats about it for now..

Looks great so far! The before shots look like most of my builds do right now (full of dust and spider webs).

Ive got a bit more done on the star, Shortend the sleeper and modified the wings to suit the box without the party hat Added some storage space I wasnt happy with the kits sleeper roof so i scratch built my own, I think it will smooth out once i put some clear gloss over it I was never real fussed with the 'wild cat' part so i tried hacking it out And it turned out prety good i recon Even better on the other side Im having a go at making a drop visor, my plan is to wrap it in chrome vinyl, im going to have to modify the ends i know but the main part looks prety sweet Its nearly there, just waiting on some finishing parts from Auslowe and itl b done, Thanks for looking, Dan

Dan Sweet job, love the paint, and your patch up on the decals, they look heaps better, I reckon you get Auslowe to cast your scratch built roof... would be a sure seller

Coming along nicely. I like the mods you made to the rear drive hubs, sleeper, and the decals.
