First of all, I must say congratulations to all of those responsible for starting/managing this forum..It is great!! I belong to other forums as well, as others do, and I must say this is my most favorite by far.... Excellent posts and topics, and most important the positive feedback. This is my second build in progress, in the past 2-years. This is an earlier picture taken some months ago. New ones will be posted here in the near future as the project is winding down. The Pete will receive "Coral Effect" direct color paint from Pete, and the body (19 1/2') will be done in Alclad polished aluminum..I love this stuff...Tons of modifications and scratch built items..the list is long. Any and all comments welcomed. Thanks, Kurt Here is the engine that was posted in an earlier thread as well.

That engine is sweeeeeeeet, where did you get it? I assume it is resin. Also where did you come up with the decals for it. I can't wait to see this project progress so please keep us posted.

Thank you to all for the great feedback/comments... This engine is slated for the Pete 357 Triaxle Dump..... Dieseldoc... The engine is a Clint Freeman CAT 3406E (Resin) rare find on Ebay..the tranny is the Eaton Fuller from the Stepp's Peterbilt. Painted genuine CAT yellow, decals are made using Bare Metal Foil decal paper, and taken from real engines using my digital camera, then the computer comes in. Here is a picture in the "what next" stage. And also a link to some really neat detailing items for model trucks scalerealism.com/truckdetails.htm

9-12-07 Guy's... It's been awhile for any updates on this build...Due to some "major" set backs, and work. The truck is on track for completion sometime soon. Lots of fine details to do yet. Here is a "tad" mockup...of a rolling chassis. Tons of modified and scratch built components were done. Chassis is gloss black, Alclad II (chrome/polished aluminum) used. Actual Peterbilt colors used for the cab and hood assembly..Mocha Effect and Coral Effect (Dupont ChromaBase paint...nice, but expensive for a pint) She's starting to take shape...fighting me all of the way....More pictures to come. All comments and feedback are welcomed. Thanks...Happy building to all. Kurt McLucas
