crashalot2, yes, I thank you too for the pic. I put it in my files. Now I have to go "shopping" for one of these pumpers. Thanx again!

Use the dumper from the paystar and put it on the Fire truck cab/chassis.

Use the dumper from the paystar and put it on the Fire truck cab/chassis. If you were talking to me, the dumper already made it to another truck, the 4 axle Pete recently finished. However, that would be a very different build. I do still have a Pete wrecker (AMT) and and the ladder body from a RVG Merecedes truck.

If you have one more paystar here is a idea for you. Hey phoneguy. On another site I remember someone making a tanker and using a plastic bottle (of some type) and once it was primered, it looked great. If you are going to go with this idea let me know and I'll find that project for you. Bruce in Fargo

I checked one of the LHS's today. They indeed have one of the pumper kits. They have a price tag of $52.99....ouch! Anyone think that price is a 'little' high?!

that seems to be an average price. I've seen some as much as $70 for the same AMT kit.

Boy Jerry, after seeing this International fire engine, I am getting the serious bug to start on my diorama project I've been trying to design. A commercial chassised truck like that would go great with my idea...great job on that truck so far! You could build your ALF chassis without the pumper body as an old derelict truck and put it on your lowboy. I have seen several of these old trucks on flatbeds in this condition after haiving their pumper or tanker bodies removed to have the chassis sent off for a refurb. Just an idea. You could really have fun weathering one of those old ALF chassis though with faded paint, cracked lettering and decals, dulled chrome, and what-have-you.
