I'd forgotten I had applied for membership here. It must have been almost a year ago I registered. I was tidying up my emails and noticed my registration had been accepted at the beginning of this year!
I live in England. Fairly close to Oxford (about an hour outside London).
My interest in modelling was re-ignited in the early 70's with the AMT Watkin's KW Conventional and the matching Fridge trailer. I made a number of AMT kist and also some ERTL ones when they appeared on the scene.
I'd build various models in the early and mid 60's. Mostly Airfix and Revell (aircraft and the occasional car).
I suppose I have been off modelling until the beginning of last year, though I must admit it has managed to diminish somewhat, though I did pur knife to plastic on the Revell/Moebius Lomestar... briefly.
I think my current slump coincided with a slump in my other interest (console gaming), though that was remedied by the purchase of a new game. Not too sure how to rekindle my modelling interests as there are plenty of models awaiting construction (not all of them trucks I hasten to add).
Another interest that I gave up on (funds are not as good as they used to be!) was diecast collecting. I have a fair number of 1:50 scale European Truck's from a UK company called Corgi. Also some 1:76 scale trucks from Corgi and another UK company called Oxford Diecast. One part of my diecast interest stopped through no fault of my own and that was of 1;76 scale Hong Kong buses. They stopped importing the models into the UK.
My other main interest is music. Listening to it and playing. My main instrument is the Bass Guitar, though my only outlet in that respect at the moment is in a Church Music Group.
