Hi Phoneguy
You look as if you have a lot of "round to its" on your workbench too. Do you base yours on real vehicles that you have connections with or simply as how you would like them to be if you were the owner driver?
As we don't tend to have too many Yanky style trucks over this side of the pond, it is not a type that I have taken a shine to building as yet. Too much crome for my liking. I do, however, like those Ford cabs there and have often passed up on buying them purely on my lack of knowledge or personal connection to them.
These give the impression that they could be built as real stout workhorses, devoid of the usual crome and tassells that beautify (or in my eyes, often distract the eye) from what are real thorough bred trucks, kicking up dirt on the roads.
If I had the chance, this would be my choice of American truck to build up.
Looking forward to seeing this build progress!!!!!
All the best
Nige

most times I just use my imagination. I do refer to pics mainly for ideas and details.

where did you get the rear tyres from for this truck? they look like they've got a pretty decent tread pattern on them

I picked them up from ebay. They are on there just for the mock up. I have spokes from the Ford C-series stake and GMC Astro to go on the rears.
