Hey all, I am new around here, and new to truck modelling. I normally model 1/35th armour, but came back to trucks to do something different. I used to build trucks as a teenager, but all the ones I wanted disappeared from down here in NZ, but now I can find them on EBay, I am in heaven!! Anyway, what I want to know is can I fit a CAT V8 into the AMT W925, or do I need an extended hood? Thanks, Shane

The AMT KW's are short hood models. You can get away with using a Revell hood. Those are long hoods and match up pretty good to the AMT cab. It may fit but I would measure and re-measure to make sure.

Hi Shane!
Only for another (longer) hood, You needn't buy a complete KW- kit. Try to get the hood as a spare part. That will save a lot of money! Here in Germany, we can order "spare" part or single cast frames at the german department of Revell. May be, that is also possible in Australia or the USA.

Well, I will get the kit anyway, as I want to do a V8 heavy hauler, so this kit will do the trick just nicely. Thank you for all the answers. Shane
