There is never enough pictures like this. The headlight wiring is another great detail to see. And the rubber flaps and weathering... Awesome!

The weathering on your frame and engine look amazing! How did you get the flaking paint effect on the engine block?

Thank you for the Humbrol links! I will certainly find the time to view all their videos. An excellent source of information. Keep up the great you're doing and thanks again.

Hello There is a small update. Eventually I found some time to work on my Freightliner. I did not do much but I have been busy with this: and that. Cabin is painted and assembled. I also made safety belts but unfortunately I forgot make some pictures before I closed cabin. Cabin, wheels and dump bath are dry fitted, but I can see that hood is sticking out on port side. I do know what to do with that. Any advices? Best Regards

You have excellent building skills and this model certainly shows that. Very nice work. That deuce and a half looks great!

Your Freightliner is coming along nicely. That Duce & a Half looks great! Is it just me, or do 1/35 models always look more realistic than 1/25 models?

No, it´s not just you Jim. But it´s not the scale itself. I keep saying this all the time. The 1/35 scale is treated a lot better by the kit manufacturers. There is probably not enough 1/24 and 1/25 scale truck modelers to deserve as much attention. Or would be the 1/25 kits really that pricy if they were on the same level detail wise and accuracy wise? The London Bus is a box stuffed with great amount of plastic and it still came pretty cheap. The Lonestar and Prostar are expensive but not that much, if you know what I mean. Where is the problem? I don´t know.
Your work on the dump truck is awesome, Mike. Very nice thing to look at. Jarda

Seems most military kits, both armor and aircraft seem to have more detail and more detail accessories. Maybe because I've found the military modelers are more vocal about the pluses and minuses of the kits. Also consider the sheer volume of military model kit manufacturers and the amount of kits sold. Probably 10 to 1 on the Deuce and a Half as opposed to the Freightliner. Revell, AMT and Italeri know we're happy just to get a reissue of any truck kit. Moebius seems to be the ray of hope for us.

Hello OK, next part of my story. I started paint the "dump tub". I used metallize paints from Mr Gunze. Rust I made using hairspray technique. Further I used dry brush with metallic paints from Valleyo. I gonna use some dust technique, plus some sand/mud. Outside of dump tub I used pre shading technique. After that I will put base coat of grey colour (Tamyia XF-77).

Never thought of pre shading truck parts. I use that method on most all of my aircraft. Have to do it on the next truck model! Paul
