I've just poured a new mould for the steering/drive hubs and i decided to move onto something different while the silcone set's, same model, just different part...
I started on the brake system, the air lines in particular. I've set out the valves, tanks & boosters but now i have realised something rather upsetting. I don't have any vinyl tubing for the airlines. I have some wire that i bought for detailing but it's too thin and some of the valves / boosters have male sockets whilst others have female sockets (you should know the difference by now, if not, you never will). This means that i will need to source some of the black vinyl tubing that you get with some model trucks (a few of the later Revell kits have it).
I'm going to need close to a metre for the complex system that has been laid out (not my fault, an actual crane layout).
Do any of you know where i can source this from?

Try the local spotlight store, they have it in rolls, thats where i got mine from, both my rolls are open so i am unsure on how many metres come in a roll but its a few,i got a roll that was hollow and also a roll that has fine wire inside and bends nicely and stays in shape unlike the tubing supplied in the kits, quite affordable too at only $3-$4 a roll,it also paints well and doenst flake off,and also last time i picked some up they had a variety of colours also if you were colour coding the lines, i have seen it at mitre10 and some other craft shops as well,

sweet, thanks. I didnt even think of that sort of place. I'm not too worried about colour coding as i'm just doing the brake lines (all air) at the moment so it's all going to be painted anyway but i'll check out what colours are available for when it comes to doing the chassis wiring.

why don't you use regular old electrical wire. It come in different diameters. Cut off a length a little longer than what you need and the pull the wire core out of the insulation.
