I checked (could have missed it too) all 8 pages here. I could not find anything on painting resin. Can I use the same paints that I use on styrene? Better than "normal" clean up I understand. Any other pointers? T.I.A.

Hey Bruce, You can use the same type of paints on resin as you use for plastic/styrene. Some resin parts/kits come with instructions on how to prepare the parts for paint. I'm sure you've already washed them in warm soapy water. After that use a good quality sandable automotive primer on them, then use the paint of your choice. Hope this helps you out.

I seal it with future, then scuff it up lightly with 1000 before primer. Helps to seal any holes or imperfections you missed.

I clean resin with Comet cleanser, then lightly scuff the entire piece with 800grit sandpaper, then a l light coat of Zinzer BIN primer/sealer, then a coat of Duplicolor primer, then color coats.
The Zinzer BIN sealer seals the resin incase there is any mold release or other issues with the resin.
A good test to see if the resin is clean enough to paint is to take a piece of masking tape, if it doesn't stick to the resin, then it isn't clean enough.

i soak all my resin to get the release agent off it. dry it, do any kind of body work to it and then scuff it, prime it with sandable primer which is always a good idea to get that smooth surface, then paint it.
