So waht are your ideas on doing a nice job of a detailed rad for the italeri kits? WHat colors have you used? Any pics? Thanks, Jim

Jim I have to agree with Spotlight, core flat black and the rest gloss black. But some times I take it a little bit further depending on what I am working on. I'll take copper paint and paint the core on both sides, when that is completely dry I will paint over the copper with the flat black. After that is completely dry I will rub it out with a soft rag. The copper will barely be seen but if you look it will look like a real raditor with the copper fins showing in the core. Jeff

Thanks guys, I have always just shot them flat black and wanted to add a little life to them, it is kida a dull point in the engine compartment ya know! I will try the combo of gloss and flat and see how I like it. Thanks, Jim

You can do like I did with my old 379. When I disassembled the radiator to install a new radiator core, I took the tanks and sideframes, and painted them to match the truck's frame, which was the same color as the cab. It really livened things up under there. Just depends on whether or not you want a more custom look.
