modelers definition of "collector"--one who has too much money and not enough brains to assemble anything, therefore resells item for much higher profit than the moderate income person can afford.

I saw it, but I didn't add it to this. I wonder if this stuff is gold plated? Jerry

Its not only the price they sell the kits at. Did you happen to look at some of those postal rates they are charging. Don't remember the auction but the guy had a truck kit $40.00 BUY IT NOW $55.00. Will ship to US only Priority Mail for $32.50. I sent kits identicle to that across the country for only $8.00 with delivery confirmation.

It's a shame what's going on with ebay. I can admit to spending some dollars I shouldn't have, but this was for kits that WILL be built. However, I have been going after built ups, especially of trucks like the Dual drive Freightliner. After discovering how much fun restoring a model can be, I've been doing more of it.

I do wonder why these kits are so freakin high. K-123 Kenworth, International TS II, and Freightliner dual drive w/sleeper. Another is the Movin' On Kenworth maybe that one is a collector item. I LOVE TO BUILD COLLECTOR ITEMS. HA HA HA To me it is the same as all the other conventional AMT KW's

I build cars too and you should have heard the collectors at the car show when they found out I built a Original Factory Sealed 1973 Duster. Even in 1992 this kit was worth around $170 in it's factory sealed box.
