Has anyone bought this kit? I saw this kit on my LHS shelf last night and was wondering if this is a snap kit or an actual glue kit. If it's a glue kit, is it a new tool or what? ANy and all info on this kit would be greatly appreciated as i am contemplating buying one. It's the kit that has a blue KW on the box art if that helps. It's a skill level 2 which leads me to believe it's a snap kit, but I'm not sure.

It's a snap kit along the same lines as the Revell USA Peterbilt 359 Snap-tite kit. In fact it uses the same Caterpiller 3406 engine, and thiose same skinny tires.. It's the old Monogram kit. John (Astro1973) did a quick build of one: pete389.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=showroom&action=display&thread=3271I've build a couple in the past, and I have one on the bench now. It's a decent kit even if the Kenworth 8-Bag air-ride suspension is a little simplified. It has a lot og potential because of its price. Gary Wallace uses the cab for his Kenworth conversion kits, so if you want a visor, his will fit.

Thanks Jim. I went ahead and picked up the kit more out of curiosity than anything else. It's actually a bit more detailed than a snap kit. I got it more because I don't have a W900 or 925 kit in my collection currently and this will fill the gap, at elast until I can score a couple AMT Kenworths...

The Revell USA kit is a W900 from 1976 to about 1982 (sometimes incorrectly called the W900A), while the AMT W923 (tandem spring suspension) or W925 ( tandem torsion bar) is a 1969 to 1972, and the Revell of Germany is a 1973-1982 W900 with the long hood (again sometimes called the W900A).
I have yet to build the Revell of Germany W900, but I REALLY want one (or three). I have several of the AMT kits, and will probably pick up another Revell USA W900 as I want to do the Bicentennial W900.

Boy Jim, let me know if you want to part with any of your AMT Kenworths. I would die for an old Watkins kit at this point!
