Hello Everyone, Today I took the time to have a read through the topic of high prices on ebay. Thanks to a couple of you I have been saved from being ripped off for the first time ever on ebay. I have only done 5 transactions on ebay and they went well and I would trade again any time with the people I have. There has been mention of 2 traders on this discussion and I nearly bought a truck kit I have wanted for 20 years and was never able to get. I was warned by a good friend in England to a possable ripoff when he told me the cost of shipping was way to high. After a deep breath and a sad and heavy heart I stopped bidding and walked away from a kitset I still desire. Since the trade in question has all ready been named I will name it here also it was worldsbestmom196. I thankyou all from saving me the pain and suffering of being either ripped off or paying for something that may never have turned up. Cheers John John, I have to stand up and thank everyone as well for the same thing and the same reason. I've contemplated purchases with the aforementioned sellers and I'm glad I was warned here.

there is a french guy (letruckstop) or something similar that is just as bad if not worse than the two previously mentioned. also one in germany but i cant remember his username.
It should be noted that NOT ALL ebay sellers are out to rip you off, for example i recently bought one of the Payhaulers for US$10 plus shipping, even with the cost of international shipping it's still cheaper than buying one from my local hobby store. further to that, i have also bought one of the Revell Kenworth Dumptrucks (damaged box but the kit was better condition than one i bought new 14 years ago) and a Revell can-do wrecker, both for a lot cheaper than what they were over here when they were still in production...
My personal favourite just arrived today, an original issue AMT mack R685ST (not a bad price either)

I've dealt with some nice guys and gals on ebay. I had some good deals, and more than once someone would throw in extra items because I bought more than 1 thing.

They have nice looking built-up Bill Signs Pete for sale, too. It's presently at $76. They will probably start stockpiling on built-ups once they figure out that some people will go for a built-up just to get that truck.

Let her have them... i hate to say it but i became one of those people we dont like the other day, I was deliberately bidding against her on a Bill signs rig. I figured if she's going to try and rip us all off, the least i could do was make her pay the type of prices she's making us pay.

Oh, and for the record, it was sent on the 4th of October and still hasnt arrived.
