Here are the choices for a color combo for the potential upcoming CBP project. Please cast your votes through the weekend. The polls will close on Monday at 3:00PM Eastern Time. We will then pick the most popular color choice and add this to the mix for the idea of our own TSF Fleet. Have fun picking your favorites and let's see what we come up with!

Here's an idea to bounce off'n your heads, hopefully not like a rock...
Truck Stop Forums...TSF...Follow me here:
Model Railroader and Trains (MR&T) magazines have a club railroad they call Milwaukee, Racine & Troy RR Yes, MR&T
Ive seen other examples of this too, So how about using the initials from the forum, TSF as the initials of our fictitious fleet, using more appropriate names, say "Trans-States Freight", or "Transportation Specialties Freight"...This would keep the name close to home, and sound more realistic at the same time.
Could even shorten one to Tran-Spec Freight, Or does anyone else have any ideas. I think Trans-States freight sounds best, but I hope it doesn't sound exclusive of our Canadian members.
Might this be a topic for another thread within the given CBP? Dan

66 votes so far, good. It will be interesting to see if we will have half that many builds once this starts.

Keep in mind the voting ends tomorrow at 3PM Eastern. I hope everyone manages to get their votes in as this color scheme will most lilely impact the colors of the forum and the website that is currently being designed.

Please don't change the Website colors to orange!!! I'm thinking it would be great to be able to associate things like the upcoming CBP to the forums and so forth. Trust me, black and orange is not a bad color combo for message forums. If done right, the combo is VERY striking!

But............ How easy is it for us old people to read the print when that color combo is used?

Just click on this link: mopars.proboards.com/Personally, I think the format in that link is easier to read sometimes than this color combo, but what do I know?

I got in later in the voting, when it was obvious that it was a choice between the two leaders. At first I thought I wanted blue and silver, but decided to go with orange and black. I like the warmer colors for a fleet truck, which won't have a lot of bells and whistles. But blue and silver will go better with silver trailers...
By the way, this blue; what blue are we talking about? I hope it's a darker one, like royal blue or navy blue.

There are a few blues that come to mind. I'm thinking a readily accesible blue would be best and the ones that immediately come to mind are Saphire Blue Metallic, Arctic Blue Metallic and then the "regular" dark blue found in the testors line of sprays. As for silver, the sweetest silver I have ever seen is from the Testors new Laquer line. Sterling Silver Metallic is the name and it just simply sparkles with metallic. As I said, keeping the cost of paint down as well as ready availability should be a major concern when choosing the colors. As for orange and black, that's a pretty easy choice. Testors has the Competition orange as well as some Chrysler oranges in ther line that we could adopt and black is black so that's a non-issue. Thoughts?

I agree that we should stay with traditional modeling paints as automotive paints (Dupli-Color, etc.) probably won't be available in other countries.
As for the colors, well Testors French Blue is a really nice deep blue. Sort of looks like Ford Engine Blue. The silver, well, it's silver. Testors or Tamiya silvers are nice.
