Thanks guys, comparing kit bumper to 1:1 photo showed.......surprise.......it didn't match! (Kit bumper is actually correct for some Louisvilles, just not the one I chose to build....... ) Kit part does provide a good starting point, .100 x .125 styrene strip laminated to bottom edge was rough cut then sanded to shape. Recessed area in centre was extended by milling with Dremel tool in drill press stand, this way kit bumper's oval slots could be retained. Fog light holes drilled & filed at outer ends of recessed area, bolt head details are from Tichy Train Group's selection of model railroad parts. Just inboard of passenger side fog light hole is section of 3/32" styrene rod glued into bumper, this is the very necessary Canadian feature of a block heater plug, square chrome lid will be attached after painting.
Thanks guys, next piece of the puzzle was battery box. 1:1 photo shows different box than kit part, .060 styrene sheet for basic box with checkerplate lid made from "snap" W900 kit drive axle fender. 1/16" square brass tube mounting brackets, Plaskit resin latches.
Quarter fenders are kit parts from leftovers box with all cast on detail removed & new freestanding parts made from 3/32" styrene tube, .040 rod and fastener details from Tichy Train Group. .010 black styrene represents the rubber flap portion which seals against trailer.
