Here is the low-down on our first Community Build Project for 2010. Here you'll find what is and isn't allowed, deadlines, etc.
Our 1st build is our "Fleet Build". All models entered in this CBP MUST be painted in the new "Official" colors of The Truckstop Forums. Those colors are blue and silver. We will list the actual blue and silver colors on 1/12/2010 so check back then.
What's eligible? Simple. ANY commercial model. That means everythingfrom pickups to construction equipment and everything in between is eligible for this build. We want to see as many forum members participate in this build as possible. You can build big rigs, straight trucks, backhoes, service vehicles, whatever your heart desires. Basically, if the 1:1 vehicle would carry a commercial registration, then it's eligible for this build. These builds can be box stock or fully detailed. that choice is up to the builder.
When's the completion deadline? This build is going to go all year. This way those joining the forums throughout the year will be eligible to jump in and join the fun. Start date is NOW, so get busy!!!
That pretty much covers everything so we hope everyone jumps in and has fun with this. I will be adding in-progress sections on 1/12, so stay tuned for that addition. any questions, please ask!!!

Well, I'm in! I have a GMC Astro that I was going to turn into a single axle daycab anyway, or a Kenworth T600 on the bench and I have no idea how I'm going to paint it.
Englishdave, I think a Scania or the DAF XF105 will be great for our European Branch.

I'm in... I'll be assigned to TSF truck # 601... Not exactly sure what the truck will be... either a Pete 378 , a Chevy Titan or a older Freightliner DD.. but I'm in. Having a whole year darn sure helps as the new 2010 modeling budget is still being hammered out and awaiting approval.

I'm thinking this might be a good one for the KW W900 Wrecker? Have we decide on the actual TSF name? This could get tagged as Terribly Slow Freight ya all know that right? ;D The only reason I bring that silly remark up is because when I was a Shipping & Receiving manager many years ago I nick named Consolidated Freight "Crushed Freight" because half my shipments bit the dust! I changed to Roadway and Estes pretty soon after the 10th damage claim!!!!! Lets get building guys!!!!! Paulie

My first project will be the old Peterbilt Wrecker from AMT. We need a wrecker to haul any disabled company trucks back to the terminal for maintenance so I'm going to start there.

Do we have a basic idea for Fleet paint schemes.. or are we just using the colors.. and the scheme is up to the builder?

My line of thinking is, if the builder is going with a fleet truck, then a universal design such as silver fenders and blue hood and cab would work for conventionals and possibly a blue lower portion and silver cab for cabovers? Again, let's try to keep the designs simple so there isn't a ton of masking and crazy designs that need to be duplicated. Thoughts?

Come on Brian..... ???Where is your sence of adventure ;D ;D My sense of adventure went right out the window when my airbrush gave up the ghost! Not enough money right now in budget to invest in a new one unfortunately. Otherwise I'd be all over it!!!!

I sorta had something like this in mind for my truck... If I used the Titan Sorta bulletproof if you get my drift I like the look of this old work horse... Don't really know why... Just kinda spoke to me...

Are you looking at a blue cab with silver stripe or vice versa?
